I get asked this a lot, what kind of music do you like? So today I’m gonna tell you!

Soundtracks
The majority of what I listen to (after podcasts) is soundtracks to movies. And yes most of the time that is my Lord and Master; Danny Elfman.

Favorite Soundtrack;
The Nightmare Before Christmas

And here’s a preview of my future wedding everyone!
It’s my favorite movie ever. I even went through a phase where I couldn’t sleep without listening to the music. I’m at the point where I hear part of the instrumental and I can recite the lines from the script in character voices.
What soundtrack am I listening to now?
Sweeney Todd
Keeping this mostly under wraps because I’m doing something with this.

This may or may not be a hint….
Soundtrack song stuck in my head
A Few Pennies More
I was a little underwhelmed by The Devil’s Carnival, but you can’t deny how much heart the film has. This song, sung by the frontman of Five Finger Death Punch, is catchy and addictive. It’s no wonder Paw called it the best song in the film. My runners up goes to Grace for Sale (not for the obvious reason) and In All My Dreams I Drown.
Oingo Boingo

There’s no denying it, I fucking love this band. I love Danny’s music and the images that come into my head when I listen. I have written a musical using these songs and back in high school when I was burning CDs for friends I would sneak Boingo songs in wherever there was space.
Favorite Album:
Boingo

correction…Favorite Oingo Boingo Album of the day. If changes every day or hour depending on my mood.
Not to be confused with Boin-go. Boingo was the final album released before Danny left. It goes out on a bang with long songs with insane instrumentals.
{I find this song very fitting with today}
Song stuck in head
When The Lights Go Out.
“Modern” music.
I used to be a fan of Evanescence in high school.

And I would randomly choke people…I’m not saying the two are related….but some pieces fit….
But Evanescence lost a lot of their luster when you find out the truth that Amy Lee is a total bitch that kills all her supporting band members after every album and has to start from scratch every damn album. So my replacement is…
Nightwish
Mostly the Imaginarium album. I am aware of the old days when they were more opera-ish but the Imaginarium album is so inspiring for my novel writing and brainstorming.
I do know of the movie that’s coming soon, and I do hope to get it or at least see it somehow.
Also, the best thing is Nightwish was able to rise past losing their front woman and still be an awesome band. Almost no drama.

Oh so they already lost one lead woman singer…well they seemed to recover nicely with the new girl….

Oh god-damnit!
