Okay.  I apologize for the sporadic picking of when I update these.  I am throwing it back to Tuesday.  So, what shall I talk about today?  I will talk about The Justice League. More specifically, I will talk about my favorite episode of Justice League Unlimited, The Once and Future Thing Parts 1 & 2.    Why is it my favorite episode? I love time travel.  In fact, it may be my favorite aspect of science fiction.  I don’t know why, but I’ve always wanted to use a time machine.  But I digress, onto the episode.

The episode begins with Chronos, or David Clinton getting scolded by his wife because he built a time machine and stole historical “junk”, or artifacts that wouldn’t be missed.  He time jumps away and decides to take Batman’s utility belt.  Green Lantern (John Stewart), Batman and Wonder Woman are eating lunch, and Green Lantern is talking about him and Hawkgirl, “taking a break” from their relationship, and Green Lantern asking why Batman and Wonder Woman aren’t together.  They hear an alarm and go after Chronos.  Chronos says, “You shouldn’t have seen me!” which makes me wonder.  Why did they see him? Obviously he screwed something up; maybe it was meant to go missing because Flash decided to prank Batman or something.  Next, Chronos travels back to the Old West as the trio follow behind.  They land a few months after Chronos in which time; the outlaws of the time have robbed him of the time machine and trapped him in jail. The outlaws have also ran the Sheriff out of town, although he returns with reinforcements, Jonah Hex and Bat-Lash.  They stop the outlaws, but Chronos steals the belt back and goes a time beyond, Batman Beyond.  They land and the Jokerz gang is harassing them as Warhawk, who is revealed to be the son of Hawkgirl and John Stewart, Static Shock, and Terry McGinnis.

The second part begins with the group defeating the Jokerz and heading back to the Batcave, or as it is now, the ruins of a high school, because what I know about high schools, are they make great batcaves.  So, they meet Old Bruce Wayne, who is a lot cooler than present day Batman.  Also, Wonder Woman disappears.  They go after one of the Jokerz and Batman hangs him off a balcony, but Bruce, being a bit more angry, decides to threaten him with a cane.  Batman ends up playing good-cop to Bruce’s bad-cop.  Old Bruce is a sadist!  So they find Chronos’ wife and then when they get there, John Stewart turns into Hal Jordan.  They eventually find Chronos, and Chronos has Static sucked into time, Terry killed, all while Old Bruce watches from the Batcave, I wanted to see the ending have Bruce suit up and beat the crap out of Chronos, but it culminates in John Stewart coming back and him and Batman fly into the time vortex and upload a virus to the time machine, which causes the timeline to revert to normal and Batman and Green Lantern to remember the time trip.  Also, Chronos is now trapped in an infinite loop of getting yelled at by his wife, or in other words, marriage.

So, that was my recap of that episode.  Was it good? Yeah! Could it have been better? Personally, I think it could have gone one more part.  But, it might of gotten more filler than it needed that way.  Well, whatever, It was awesome anyway.  Also, I have meant to mention this, I am grateful for the warm welcome I was given by RTGomer and am enjoying myself here.  So until next time, I’m Michael and these were my random thoughts.
