It could use some cleaning up!

Hey gang! It’s the middle of December and it is cold as hell out here at the home base! But it’s Maine. It’s supposed to be cold!

Besides being a big pro wrestling fan, I also like boxing at the Olympics. I don’t watch much of the pro stuff anymore, but every four years, I make the Olympic boxing tournaments a required watch. 10 weight classes and now the women tournaments too. It’s good watching for me!

The thing is though, that Olympic boxing is just as of even more corrupt than the pro stuff. For YEARS, I’ve seen these tournaments and for years bad judging and bad boxers would get in the way. Thew further it went along, the crazier things got. Those compubox controllers that were put in after the crap in 1988 didn’t do much, the judges were still corrupt, they just figured out how to do it without getting caught. Press a button, whether that did anything or not, and no one could pinpoint the weird shit that happened. Remember the guy who scored two points after being knocked on his ass? Or how about the guy who was knocked down 4 times in a fight only for the Ref to keep the fight going, but he didn’t count at all and ENCOURAGED the guy to get up!

Nowadays the governing body of Olympic boxing, AIBA, has a new leader, a guy who the U.S. government claims had ties to organized crime. Now even the Olympics is stepping in on this one.

It may lead to nothing, or it may lead to the Olympics trying to clean up what we see every for years. Getting rid of the Video Gamesque scoring system that was just making things worse was a good start, but there is a lot more to be done. Maybe this will be the start of the Olympics itself stepping into all the weird crap that can go on every four years. A lot of people were sent home during the Rio games in 2016 for weird crap, so maybe that should have been the sign to get things straightened up before Tokyo. I can hope that it does.

That and more Fred Rogan. Fred Rogan makes the corrupt games a lot more fun to watch.

Now, before I go I want to point anyone reading this towards a special little pup who is part of the family of a friend of mine. I have not had the chance to meet her personally, but Bailey isn’t feeling too good and she needs some help. Poor Bailey could use the kindness of strangers so if you are reading this, I ask you to give her a little love and help her and Jen out. She has had a rough one so far so she could use the help. You can donate to her and her human Jen HERE.
