Evil Bong (2006)

Finally, I have gotten to the Evil Bong series. After one movie, I am dreading the next month of reviewing this hellhole which I predict will be as stale as stoner breath.

Nerdy Alistair has moved into a studio apartment with three stoner guys. One of them buys a magic bong from New Orleans advertised in the newspaper. The bong turns out to be evil. When they take a hit, “Ebee” is able to take their souls and transport them into a strip club to get stronger. Alistair does not partake and finally realizes what is going on. He takes a hit to go into the bong and save his love interest with the help of the bong’s owner, Jimbo (played by Tommy Chong). The fact that I can sum up the entire movie in such a short paragraph speaks volumes on its lack of depth. Movies without depth are not always terrible. More than likely they are bad in an entertaining way. This one was just bad. The pacing was wonky, the characters were all the same except for Alistair, and the plot had no idea where it was going by wasting time with side plots.

Surprisingly, GingerDead Man made a cameo in the movie at the stip club. It was as you would imagine and I wish I could get it out of my head. There is not much to say about this movie other than Ebee’s mouth should have moved or it should have been closed. She was a beautiful bong until she started to grow a skin-like texture although I could not imagine how dirty the inside of her was from four boys sucking on her for days.

Do not waste your time with this movie. Tommy Chong is charming in it but it is not worth sitting through this crappy movie. It is available on Hulu with a subscription. 3/10.

Starbolts: A Look to the Past

Seven years ago on another website, I started this comic and now I’m here celebrating the anniversary of its debut on the Internet as a webcomic. Before, it was just a collection of short stories and such. I always wanted it to be in comic form. It seemed like the best medium for something that has so many colorful characters, settings, and storylines. So, I made this comic to commemorate the time I spent working on it.

I joke about how the characters looked back then. Now they look so much different and it’s thanks to the late Justin “JewWario” Carmical for that. He gave me a sprite template he found and the comic hasn’t been the same since. I’ll always thank him for that. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the comic and I’ll be back with more as we race to Starbolts #300! So, stick around!

Bloopers of 2015: Silly People Doing Silly Things & Stuff Going Wrong

(Happy) Christmas

This year I have met more people who, like me, do not enjoy the holidays. Moving to another country was one of the best decisions of my life. Christmas is one time of the year where my family have an excuse to contact me. My parents and I do not mix well. I keep my emotions at my feet when I talk to them, especially my mother. They know what I do and they hate it. I understand but I wish they would keep their opinion to themselves and stop telling me I am going to hell. In my early teens when I lived with them, they were nothing but horrible to me. Yet they act like nothing ever happened and I owe them my life. Blood is not an obligation. Sometimes blood is toxic. I am glad to have people who relate by my side.

So what is in store for 2016? Hopefully I will get more erotica on Kindle and complete an erotic novel. Perhaps love will take hold.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water Review

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, titled Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko (零 〜濡鴉ノ巫女〜?, lit. Zero: Black-Haired Shrine Maiden) in Japan and Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water in PAL regions, is a survival horror video game developed by Koei Tecmo and published by Nintendo for the Wii U. The fifth main entry in the Fatal Frame series, it was released in Japan in September 2014 and worldwide in October 2015. As with previous games in the series, players navigate areas filled with hostile ghosts which must be fought by taking photographs using the Camera Obscura, which is directly controlled using the Wii U gamepad. A post-endgame story featuring Ayane, a character from the company’s Dead or Alive series, is also available featuring altered gameplay mechanics. The story, which is set on the fictional Hikami Mountain, focuses on three protagonists who are drawn into supernatural events revolving the area, including an ancient ritual to seal away Yomi, a malevolent force corrupting the surrounding spirits that is tied to the fate of the titular shrine maiden Ouse Kurosawa.

Planning for the game began in 2011, during the projection of the Wii remake of Crimson Butterfly. The game was first proposed by series co-creator Keisuke Kikuchi when he saw the Wii U hardware and the possibilities of the gamepad becoming the Camera Obscura. The game was a joint production effort between Koei Tecmo and Nintendo Software Planning & Development, with Kikuchi and fellow co-creator Makoto Shibata returning as to their respective posts of producer and director, together with staff from the previous series entry Mask of the Lunar Eclipse and developers new to the series. The cast went through several revisions during development, while the staff experimented with the capacities of the new hardware. As with previous games, it features a theme song by Tsuki Amano. Upon release, the game received critical acclaim for its use of the gamepad and dark atmosphere, while opinions were mixed on its story, portrayal of its female characters, and other aspects such as its pacing and controls.
